Founded in 2009 by husband-and-wife team Elijah and Gwen Ajayi, Ajayi Design & Construction began as a passion project to buy, renovate, and invest in homes. After facing countless challenges with unreliable contractors, we set out to raise the standard in the industry. Elijah became a licensed general contractor, and Gwen transformed her eye for design into a professional service that helps clients bring their dream spaces to life.
What started as a personal venture has evolved into a trusted home renovation and new construction company built on integrity, craftsmanship, and collaboration. Today, our dedicated team of architects, designers, and builders work together to deliver beautifully designed, high-quality spaces that reflect each client’s unique vision.

Preconstruction Phase
Preconstruction is like the blueprint before the blueprint. In this phase, we're not swinging hammers just yet. Instead, we're putting on our thinking caps and crafting a solid game plan. Think of it as the strategy session for your dream project. We're mapping out every detail, from logistics to timelines, so when we hit the ground running, we're all on the same page. Site Preparation
Before the first brick is laid, the construction site is prepped. This involves clearing the land, excavating, and ensuring the site is level and ready for construction.
Construction and Implementation
The actual work begins, with our team coordinating the various trades and tasks involved (e.g., demolition, construction, plumbing, electrical work, etc.).
Regular updates are provided to you the customer to keep you informed about progress and any unexpected developments.
Quality control measures are implemented to ensure work meets industry standards.
The Finishing
Touches
It's our job to ensure the job is complete down to the final details. Trust us to execute installation and post-construction finish
Finalization and Handover
Once construction is complete, a final walkthrough is conducted with the customer to ensure their satisfaction and address any last-minute concerns.
Necessary touch-ups or adjustments are made.
The project is officially handed over to the customer, and any required documentation, warranties, or instructions are provided.
Post-Project Follow-Up
We conduct a follow-up with the customer to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and address any post-project issues that may arise.
